Dill Pickles, hold the Processing!

Recipe Source: Cami Davis

Pickling cucumbers cut lengthwise into halves or quarters
1 quart vinegar
2 quarts water
1/2 cup salt
3/4 cup sugar-optional ( I left out the sugar)
dill

Stuff jars with cucumbers and dill.  Boil the other ingredients for 3 minutes.  Fill jars.  Put on new lids and rings.  Place upside down for 30 minutes.  Wait one week.  Enjoy!

Notes: This recipe makes about 6 quarts.  I used 3 dill flowers per pint jar; 5-6 for quarts.
