Jalapeno Cheddar Turkey Burgers
from Mel's Kitchen Cafe
This is a tried and true recipe that we use at least once a month. Turkey burgers can be really bland, but these have a great flavor. It's pretty versatile. The jalapeno doesn't make them hot, but you can totally leave it out if you want. I often skip the grated cheese. Be sure you buy the turkey that isn't in a tube because they'll be really runny and hard to form. Sometimes I add some bread crumbs to help them hold their shape if they are too squishy.
Ingredients
2 lbs. ground turkey (in a square package not in a tube)
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 small jalapeno seeded and finely chopped

1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
For Serving
6 hamburger buns
Guacamole
