Basic Shepherd's Pie

I found this on Allrecipes.com. It seems like a good place to start. I would like to add corn, peas, and carrots. I think I will try something other than condensed vegetable soup. Maybe tomato sauce or something.

"This is an 'Americanized' version of that old standard, Shepherd's Pie. My family loves it! You can prepare your mashed potatoes as you normally would -- adding butter, milk, sour cream, whatever!"
